Reviews:
This restaurant used to be Kareem's and now its owned by Sanjyeh (who was the franchise owner). The food is much better than when it was Kareems. The ambience is good, a little over the top when it comes to the decor. The seating area is quite small, one might call it cozy. :) You almost feel like you are sitting in a cave. The kitchen has a glass window and you can see the tandoor and the kebabs grilling.

The food is typical Punjabi. They have heavy copper plates and glasses. Not sure if I like them or not :). I loved the kebab platter (enough for 4 adults). Small selection of soups. I would pass the soups as it is nothing spectacular. As for the entree, we have tasted almost all the chicken curries and loved all. The garlic nan is awesome. A little fatty ;), almost like eating garlic bread.. The Kheema naan can be skipped. The stuffing was too dry and plain. Neeraj tried some Raan curry when he went on his own and said it was different and very well made.

The veg curries were also decent. The portions are medium sized. The paan offered along with your bill is such a thoughtful gesture. It comes as a very pleasant surprise. :) . I think some part of the charm of the restaurant also lies in the owner who takes time to talk to each guest.

A typical meal for two would cost 450-500 rs.
Overall a good experience with good food!

Update: they don't take reservations from Friday to Sunday.

Guys..there is new place called "Marwar" that opened up yesterday on Baner road, small shop like resturant somewhere between foodbazaar and CCD, looks like a wadapao joint from far, young boys from Jodhpur have started on shoestring budget, but the food is amazingly authentic and has a very unique earthen flavour to it, the chances are that they will mess-up in couple of months, so while they are still good..go and soak urself up in Dal-Baati and gatte ki sabji for prices as low as 50/- per head,

one great place to enjoy some good mughlai food, and the involvement by Sanjhey make the dining experience even special...

Had ordered Murgh Makrana, Murgh Dilliwali Biryani and Murgh Makkhanwala hoping that it would be sufficient for the three of us. When the delivery guy arrived, I was shocked to see a small and a light parcel. The quantity of all the items was too less, I would say almost half of what one would expect (Murgh Makrana had just three pieces of Chicken). I surely won't order anything from this place ever again - surely not unless they reduce their rates by atleast 50% which I feel is appropriate for the quantity they serve. Probably they're charging a premium for their loation (Aundh?). Other nearby restaurants such as Rajwada, Green Park and Mahabaleshwar serve almost double the quantity at the same price and similar (if not better) quality.
